This is a freescale model of a typical switcher loco with design inspirations from Baldwin and Alco.

Our model of a typical USA switcher locomotive has been designed for ease of use and is ideal for those starting in live steam, or as an addition to an expanding locomotive stable. The engine has weatherproof internal gas firing and is supplied with factory fitted radio control for speed and direction. The engine carries the control servo in the cab and the batteries, receiver and switch in the tender. The boiler can be supplied with a water gauge fitted as an optional extra so that, when used with our boiler filling system, continuous running is possible. The cab and tender are constructed from etched brass. The tender has full rivet detail and both loco and tender are enhanced by a wealth of brass castings.

The loco has many user friendly features. A cool touch' regulator knob, under floor valves for the lubricator drain and the water level check valve, the cab roof lifts up sideways for easy access to the water filler, the gas filler and the lubricator filler.

The loco is a star performer with good looks and plenty of power for any garden railway.
