This is a model of 'Leeds No. 1', built by Hunslet in1904 for the Leeds Water Corporation.
Leeds No 1 worked on the 2'gauge main line which ran from Masham to Leighton Reservoir. The engine was reputedly scrapped in the 1930s.
Our model faithfully reproduces the well riveted cab and the model is further enhanced by many brass castings. The model is internally gas fired and has twin channel radio control for speed and direction. The radio control is powered by rechargeable batteries, those on the locomotive being charged in situ. A battery charger will be required for this engine.
The engine has our user friendly controls such as underfloor lubricator drain and underfloor water level cheek valve. The cab roof lifts up sideways to give access to gas, water and oil fillers.
Leeds No 1 is a scale model which will grace the mantelpiece but is robust and will give hours of pleasure in the garden railway.
